Avalon Waterways is offering massive savings on Rhine river cruises for the 2022/23 season. With savings of up to $3,400 per couple on select 2022/2023 Rhine river cruises, Avalon Waterways have launched an array of itineraries for both those new to river cruising and returning cruisers.

“With nearly two dozen cruise itineraries in our Rhine holiday portfolio, Avalon Waterways offers more ways to discover the Rhine River Valley, year-round, than any other river cruise line,” says Pam Hoffee, managing director of Avalon Waterways.

“Whether you’re dipping your toe into river cruising or diving headfirst into your next cruise, the Rhine realises the Europe of every traveller’s dreams.”

For the newbies, Avalon Waterways has designed the five-day A Taste of the Rhine sailing bookended by two bucket-list cities, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. This short and ‘suite’
sailing adventure gives travellers the opportunity to test the river cruise waters while enjoying the sweeping, dramatic views of the Rhine Gorge. There’s also an eight-day cruise for those looking for a longer holiday.

For returning travellers, the Rhine & Moselle – Canals, Vineyards & Castles itinerary is a great for cruisers looking to get the most out of their sailing. The Rhine River crosses five countries and weaves together diverse cultures and cuisines. It also connects to other legendary waterways to create an in-depth river cruise holiday.

And for regular river cruisers looking for something different, Avalon takes travellers off the beaten path to discover – and re-discover – the Old World in new ways.

The eight-day Active & Discovery on the Rhine cruise has a varied selection of classic, active and discovery excursions. From history to food and nature to art, the breadth of excursions includes everything from a regional wine-tasting in Eltville and hike up to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress to a Düsseldorf biking tour and Dutch painting class.
